Diversity That Stands Out From deserts to mountaintops, our infinite variety of locations is impressive, and close to both Los Angeles and San Francisco. Dominating the scene are the snowcapped Sierra and Mammoth Mountain, one of the nation's largest ski resorts. Within close proximity, you can find sand dunes and dry lakebeds, or mountain lakes and sparkling streams, all dwarfed by the 14,000 foot Sierra Nevada range.
Mammoth Lakes, the center of filming activities, is a full-service, year-round resort community situated at the base of Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort. Mammoth's blend of resort atmosphere and natural beauty create a unique and dynamic setting. To the north, the village of June Lake is nestled in a beautiful mountain valley and surrounded by alpine peaks and crystal clear lakes. Bridgeport and its surrounding valley is the typical rancher's town. Clapboard ranch houses, stock pens, corrals and barns dot the lush, green valley and wide-open sage flats. Bishop, forty miles south of Mammoth Lakes, can best be described as "anywhere USA," with tree-lined streets and sidewalks. |
